Consoltex medical fabrics are designed to protect healthcare professionals and their patients (both human and/or animal) from contamination by fluids. Our medical fabrics are developed to provide superior repellency to fluids, electrostatic control, and resistance to intensive wear and care including severe wash and sterilization cycles.
Consoltex medical fabrics are used to produce products such as: Operating Room (OR) gowns and drapes, bedding (hospital and healthcare institutions), protective barrier curtains and window dressings.
Compact construction for durable
protection & comfort
Thousands of filaments tightly woven for compactness form the strength base of our fabric. This compact construction creates micro-interstices between filaments that allow for greater breathability. It also provides maximum protection through multiple industrial wash and sterilization cycles. In spite of its compactness, our fabric has a silky softness and perfect drape offering superior comfort during long surgical procedures.
Finished for reliability
The application of one or more of our super protective finishes creates an ultimate barrier against penetration from liquids and pathogenic agents. Our DryonTM super water repellent finish is applied for ultimate moisture control. DryonTM is one of our premier cross-market developments having been originally developed to protect doctors and medical staff from contamination, it is now widely used by outdoor enthusiasts for protection from nature's extreme wet weather conditions.
Electrostatic control
Medical environments need to be free from static electricity that could cause a short to critical equipment and devices. Our medical fabrics include conductive carbon fibers that are encapsulated in a polyester sheath for extended fiber life and guaranteed permanence of anti-static properties.
Reusable fabric - ecologically friendly comfort
Our woven medical fabrics are reusable and are, therefore, environmentally friendly, reducing the amount of waste much of it biomedical. Reusable fabrics are also budget-friendly by providing protection through multiple surgical procedures.
