CONSOLTEX INC. announced that, as of today, Sirio De Luca succeeds to Marcel Thibault as President and CEO of the company, as Thibault decided to step down.  ''After many great years at Consoltex, it is time to complete a transition plan that I envisioned and fostered for the past two years.  Sirio and I have worked together to successfully guide the daily operations of Consoltex and I believe that he and Consoltex are now ready to complete the transition to his overall leadership of the company'' said Thibault.

As background, Sirio has more than 20 years of strategic, operational and general management experience with leading North American-based global textile corporations.  De Luca was hired by Thibault in June 2005 as President of Consoltex’s Performance Division with the intent that he becomes his successor.

A native of Montreal, Quebec, De Luca graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Commerce degree.
