Consoltex is very sensitive to environmental issues, whether related to the textile industry or not. As a responsible corporate citizen, it operates each of its plants in compliance with federal, provincial and municipal environmental laws.

Consoltex is also active in energy conservation. The company participates voluntarily in a variety of programs, including the following:
 Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation (CIPEC)
 CSA Climate Change (GHG registry, Clean Projects)

In terms of recycling, Consoltex is proud to contribute to environmental conservation while encouraging the development of a general partnership, Certex. As well as its environmental mission, the Centre de récupération et de recyclage du textile plays a key social role in the community. The company has been accredited as an Adapted Work Centre and employs around 100 disabled workers. As a result, it is a cause that is as important from an environmental perspective as from a societal perspective.
